How Dial-A-Daughter was born
I always wanted to live close enough to my parents to be able to have lunch with them once a week, and to provide immediate support and assistance as needed.
Instead I lived far away, and spent my annual vacations trying to accomplish for them numerous tasks that needed onsite attention. Boarding the plane to return home each year was an occasion filled with anxiety as I wondered what would occur in the next 12 months for which I would not be close enough to help.
My frustration at this situation grew with each passing year until I finally moved west. I realized that there must be other people across Canada in similar situations with parents in Victoria. Thus Dial-A-Daughter was born!
